Well OP have you talked to a good stihl dealer about a Stihl Credit card? Maybe able to go this route and nickle and dime your way to a new saw :msp_thumbup: If you have a decent pawn shops some will do lay away programs. I have one pawn shop I am friends with and he lefts me take as long as needed to buy saws. That is how I got a my 051 -TS510 hybrid coming.

The best bang for the buck is the Stihl MS290 Farmboss or the Husky 455.

If the OP is seriously considering a saw these are some of the best options out there if you want a good saw on a budget. Buy the new saw, have the warranty, and go cut wood.
