New here and just got my STIHL fix

I've been lurking here mostly reading all the talk on new Stihl saws. Just got home from the saw shop with my new MS 362 C. I live in far Northern California (Redding). I decided on the non M-Tronic after talking with a few shops about maintenance issues their seeing. I've had a MS 260 Pro for about 14 yrs with no problems at all. Decided it needed a bigger brother for cutting fire wood. Anyway I'm supper excited to have a new toy. Thanks for all the good info on this site.

I'm in the market for a new saw, that one is in the top 3. I can get a good deal on one and run it through the farm account and be tax exempt, so it'll probably be the one I end up with. I take really good care of stuff and tend to hang onto things so I don't mind spending the money. I've got an MS 290 I bought 15 years ago that's still in excellent shape and still runs like a champ, but I wouldn't mind something a little bigger.

I didn't want the M-Tronic. Guess I'm old school, but I can tune my own saw and a lot less can go wrong.

No it's the new lightweight version with the space age bar cover. I believe it came in standard and mtronic as well.

Ok got into some good solid oak this afternoon. I was using the entire 25"s of the bar and it cut so nice. I love my new saw!
My 12 yr old brought home a saw he found at grandmas house. It hasn't been used in at least 30 yrs and I got it running! Little Homelite XL with a 10" bar.
