Anybody know the name of the movie that has Kirk Douglas in it?

I've seen the old B&W segment a few times and it never gets old. To have lived and seen the glory days of redwood logging...

I have herd guys say that they werent cutting humboldts back in the quiet days.

I think it is neato seeing them chop out kirfs like that! but that brings me to the question of; Which is the "original humboldt" and which is the "modified humboldt" I have herd that the one with the kirf cut out then a snipe is the original & that the one that is just a plain old face is the non OG one. That is my take on it anyway, mostly what I have picked up on here.
