Old Super XL

Been a while sense I worked on a saw this old. I must say they are loud and pretty cool sounding.

Hard to beat the sound of an old XL12, especially the ones with the stack muffler. But then Mcculloch's have a sound all their own.

I still have a couple of Super XLs and an XL12. They do sound great and not bad for cutting logs. Not as loud as some of the older saws though...I took the stack muffler off my XL12 because I don't like wearing ear plugs.
I forgot to mention: it's a good idea to use loctite on bolts on these saws because they vibrate bolts loose, at least mine has.
