Poulan XXV CVA IPL

Has anyone been able to find the IPL for Poulan XXV CVA not the SXXV CVA or DA?

One of my S25-CVA's got a good workout yesterday. Was out clearing some access roads with a few friends. Spent a lot of time cutting suckers and overhanging limbs. Took out a few dozen small maples and some small bays with it (8" diameter and smaller). Great little brushing saw.:msp_thumbup:

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Poulan S25 (Green Color) and Poulan S25 Pro (yellow color)? Do both have electronic ignition or points? Would appreciate some help in getting this infor.

There was a lot of crap about piston cylinder alloy differences, but they had the same part numbers in the ipls.

The ignitions depended on whether or not the factory had the newer ignitions in stock when made...

Wrong info. The IPL's are different. The later saw had "hooked" rings so the pistons are different too.

As for Ign, after the late 70's they were all electronic.

Same saw, different color. Older saws had the older style rings and points, etc....
Whatever....
Sales reps told the retailers that the PPros were constructed better, etc.....
Whatever.
