Health problems? Sounds more like mental problems...

Ive always tried to conduct myself in a professional manner no matter where. I had not seen the Ebay listing and a big thanks to JJ for that. Im not going to pass judgment on Scott's character, it appears that he has done that for himself. In retrospect, I dont believe there was anything wrong with the saw now or then.

I had offered to accept the saw back and refund the buyers money, but now he has written and says he wants to keep it?

Thanks for all the help,
Bob

I just got a bonus check at work. I'm thinking about bidding. Be a real shame if I found a major problem with it.

All I would do Bob is put his name on your **** list and disqualify him from any future sales you may hold. I am not too impressed by his threads slinging crap at you then going and listing the item on Ebay after you had offered him a refund, Bad form on the buyers part hope the little so and so continues to remain under a low profile on here.

Not to stir the pot,but did anyone figure out if this was the same saw?
I see it is listed again Item number: 110533379090 :jawdrop:

Sure it is the same one, even the description of the bar and chains fit + the ,,,,, - but where did the "huge patch in the oil tank" go??????

Yea, the way you read it on hear then on the listing it sure sounds like two different saws.

How many guys from Hickory, Kentucky do you think there are with that same style of writing who would both happen to have recently rebuilt Echo 8000s? Look at the pictures of the bar he listed in the trading post and then look at the pictures in the auction...even a blind man could see it.

well i have been screwed before . i bought what i was told was a running 372xp on ebay. well turns out it was a 371xp no big deal just about the same, when i went to start it the s.o.b had no fuel . so it didnt run , until i put fuel in it. i left him bad feedback and said he was a liar! he should have stated with fuel it runs.

I've had that same problem with every saw I've bought. They wouldn't run without fuel. How can a guy get anything done anyways?

I would be nervous as heck buying a saw off e-bay. I'm not a gambler and scared to takes chances like that. If i can't hold it and run it it don't get bought, Same with everything i buy. Guess there are good deals on there but i'll pass for the sure thing even if it cost a little more. I would rather support my dealer here but realize that new isn't always possible.

What a load of crap this has been!
Good thing you guys were vigilant and caught the e-bay listing.
You have to wonder what goes through someones head to do this crap.

Actually, Echo has a factory outlet store here in Hickory, they specialize in
Echo 8000 saws, and Black Mamba vibrators, so in this neck of the woods,
one can pick up an afflicted model of each real cheap, so resale here in
Ky is real common.
The toothless redneck men love the chainsaws, the toothless redneck
women, well, they love the outlet store.........

But I digress.............................................

He is definitely a whackjob.
Socialist vegan. I especially liked all the crap about the bucket list and it being a present from his wife. Gag, ack...cough, spit.
Whine baby pooopy pants...Accuses the seller of not being honest, then puts it on ebay and is not honest.
This guy makes a used car salesman look like a clergyman.

Beautiful girl: "What do you do for a living?"
This guy: "I am a liar, a cheat and a scoundrel."
Beautiful girl: "Oh, do you sell new or used?"

Oh, I forgot, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
there.

I gotcha, my bad...

Glad I'm not the only one.
I put fuel in one of mine, and Geez, was it ever loud!
Made a lot of racket. Cut somewhat faster, but not worth the noise and fumes.

knowng when purchasing on ebay the risks one takes, ive been lucky i have never had to leave neg feedback. i have only had 1 bad dealing with a customer over a diff locker and he obviously knew it was bad. i did get him to take it back but i did loose out on shipping. i have bought 2 saws on ebay the first was a husky 61 the guy was selling it as used but in great shape. he was from florida and he told me it had great compression but didnt know the numbers. i took a chance and got exactly what he said it was . it had 160psi comp. i have run it for the last 2 years with no complaints. the second i was told was a 372 xp. when it arrived it was a 1998 371xp as the id plate reads but has 372 starter cover and a 372 limmiting caps on the carb ajustments and on piston ring. overall i was pleased. had on the low side 125psi comp so i put a new ring in it cleaned up the cylinder and now its at 140 psi comp . i live at 4500 ft elevtion so i figured that wasnt to bad for what i purchased it for and had in it. i have tried to purchase a few saws off of craigslist but no one wants to ship. ikeep my eye out for deals but havent come across any locally.
