We have been cleaning the yard up the last couple of weeks(3 year old) unmarketable softwood(SWP,SWFW) most of the softwood firewood is be debarked and chipped. Pallet grade is processed in to cants if sound enough. This crap is getting old but the yard looks better.

Hello Mike
The soft wood pallet and firewood is junk, stanid and rotttin 2' in on the ends. But our Basswood(grade logs) we usally saw 5/4(1 3/8") 9/4 (2 3/8" heavy) 2A&better,go over seas to China for venation blinds. Seth

Clear Basswodd is a pretty valuable specie in my area...veneer, solid wood market has remained high for a long time. Bad problem is that it rots fast. Gotta process or ship fairly quick.

If that basswood and popple has been laying outside 2 years I bet there's a lot of punky sticks, huh? Good wood for outdoor boilers, mild weather.

Punky basswood actually uses almost as much heat as it has in it to boil off the steam in the house, and it smells bad too!
