Red Lever saw! One of the best!
These saws are known to have leaky flywheel side seals. The seal on the flywheel side are on the small side.pressure vacuum test.just to be a guy that kinda likes to see problems before the show up. kinda old saw but a goody.check it out.
I glad it is a well liked saw up till this point all I had was a stihl 211c and a few poulan beaters to play with.

The 026 was introduced in 1993. Not sure how long they were made. @HarleyT might be able to help if you can give him the serial #. Here's a link.How old I'd this saw ? She said he bought it probably 15 years ago . I would really like to use the saw but every time I look at it seems really nice to use and beat up.
Once in a while a saw comes along that you'll regret down the road if you run it. I came across a Poulan 5200 countervibe that guys say is one saw to have just because. I get it out and run it just for GTG'S once or twice a year. My other is a 036 almost as nice as your 026. I guess they are my retirement $ saws.I have heard from a few people not to run it. But what is the general consensus. I'm having Mixed feelings on using it. Thanks
