Stihl 051 and 076 parts

There's a bunch of big old Stihls in the classifieds. What part of Alaska are you in? I`m in Anchorage. Theres a 051 in Fairbanks on Craigs List, but he won`t call me back. Sure would like to talk to him.

My best guess is an old 075. Look at the cylinder and see if it has studs or bolts.

I was wanting to bid on this pile of parts but I can't get the guy to work with me on shipping which would be $140 to Alaska. It looks like it has all the parts I'm missing and more. The parts saw even has the chain brake on it.

Not 076 - oil cap in the wrong place... and recoil cover is way too old.

oops, meant to say 076/075, you're right - looks like an 075 then! As you knew...

Bumping this thread, has anyone ever removed the black cover over the rear handle on an 075, 076, or 041? It seems impossible to slip it over the throttle lock without breaking it. There must be a trick?
