stihl ms 391 rebuilb

I picked up a straight gassed 391 and was wondering if the 390 engine interchanges ? same series saw right? so are all the parts the same ? missing the muffler, is it specific to the 391 or will the 390 fit?

It's a completely different saw, orange and white is the only similarity.

They are not the same. The 391 is it's own animal, nothing interchanges.

well then looks like parts are a lot harder to come bye then , hope the cylinders good! any leads or advice on getting a muffler ?

The only one I'm aware of is stock from Stihl. $65 or so... You might post in Trading post to see if someone has one.

Make sure to check the main bearings.
