Damaged outer of the outer bearing and inner of the outer bearing fused to the axle spline.....inner bearing has had it....Won't turn nicely using fingers anymore...rough as

The first pic is for Kain to take to bed with him tonight1453703427346.jpg 1453703230758.jpg

thats just narsty how many Km did you get out of them be for they packed it in.
232,000 km's.

The car was t boned lightly on that side about 4000km's ago and very minor damage to that wheel but it needed replacement.....2000km's ago had to replace the rear shocks but they were prolly shagged for 20,000km.

I think the above has put an end to the inner bearing but it's not too short a life I don't think...

Now to remove the farken things.

Pic of bar needed to slide over my 18" breaker bar to get the 32mm axle spline nut off....

And it's the bearings that are the difficult bit......why I do this I do not know.1453705450696-797541491.jpg

Inner race (burnt) of inner bearing and one piece of metal I found floating in there, lots more loose mEtal in there i can see......I think adjustment may not be an option.

The outer race of both bearings is one piece.....it has nice rolled centre so no hope with a bearing puller....it is inserted into the housing of the lower control arm...

My decent sized pin punches with a 4lb hammer are not moving the outer race one little bit...

Hmmm....plan B, but I haven't got a plan B.1453708148074.jpg
