On the cold mornings vegetable oil or canola oil might work better, but I don't know if it would keep temps down and work so well lubricating in the hard stuff

Quick question to anyone with a Cert III in Arb, is "Fall Trees Manually"(Advanced) included in it?

Also is there anymore falling tickets after Advanced?

and FPIFGM3213 - Fall trees manually (advanced) is as far as at goes for Arb training tho is suspect forest may step it up a bit

Cheers for that  I'll be doing my advanced soon and was hoping it wasn't the end. I'm sure the trainers will be able to tell me what the next step is..

i just got 3 quotes from training company's in Victoria for intermediate felling as have 8 crew in need. 3 days one theory 2 prac and $3200 to $4000 cost..

Bought a pair of Euro diamond chains for the cruiser 13 years ago. Cost a bloody fortune, used em once and now I have no idea where they are.

Only needed them because of that regulation that requires you to carry them when going to Mt. Hotham. Now I just throw some rigging chain in the back and if I get asked just show em that. Never need them on a cruiser taking it easy.

Also the whole thing took 7 hours..

jeeepers who said Queenslanders are slow,, :) thats some speed work training ah who cares as long you got the bit of paper that references AHCARB304A - Fell trees with advanced techniques on it jobs done...
oh did you trainer show his crew how to work well with nuffys :) ... its parts of the coarse criteria always make me giggle
