Ended up near Ithica, there is walnut everywhere down there.Those pics put things into perspective Jim. Too difficult to tell from the video. I was ball busting when I said I was going to critique your cutting lol, I know you knew that though. Unless you're the one on the hill side with the saw in hand there's no critiquing on ones like that. Glad it all worked out for ya. Where abouts did you travel to get into that mess? I heard you say about 3.5 hours away?
It wasn't really rotten but it was very split up probably from the stress on the heavy lean it had.The stump looked so rotten and nasty.
You were down near my stomping grounds. Yes, lots of good hardwoods down in that area. I've been talking with my local Amish trying to get some oak for some horse stalls. Between the price of oak being in the dirt and it just doesnt grow up here by the lake its begetting tougher to find.
