i have gotten a dremel for x-mas and the grinding stones that came with it suck, they flew apart on the first use, any one have a favorite that stay together?
You need a double-cut carbide bur, 1/8" shank. I only use a stone for beveling the port edge.
No. Once I got a carbide bur, there's no looking back. I'm still using the first one and have worked on several saws with it. Still like new.

Carbide burrs, and you have to use lube with them or they will plug up with aluminum.
