Hi all thanks for viewing. I have a real dumb question, I have a 346 that I was thinking had a air leak. check out this video and let me know if I run it how long will it take to toast my saw? thanks
I was just looking back in my PM's and .050 is what he says was taken off the base. I never cut my base or squish bands when I port my saws I dont have the means to do it. That was why I was sending this one off to have work done to it. Looks like I should have just kept my runner.unless of course this thing has a cut base and someone went lathe happy taking to much off the base. there is a thread near the top right now with a pic of one that was gone to far with.
Really ??the person should get a fair shake before their name is smeared. It may be an honest mistake.
" no... I did'nt do a pressure/vac test because I am too meticulous when I put saws together for there to be any air leaks" .Then was told: " you can richen it up to compensate for the air leak. that's how A/T saws do it"..
Let me say this: I am not a known ccomplainer.
I wasn't going to even mention this predicament at all on the open board, until I was told that above about richen the saw up.
that's what I'm screaming..... not!!!!! in fact that was the reason I had not named any names.I just got ticked off after somebody tried to give me the runaround when I've been fooling with saws for years.Yeah let's kick him around a little. lol. Let's get a lynch mob air leak boy, I'm going to go get on my sheet and pillow case right now.
