Or mainly your saw...
The coffee table (if the pics work) was made mainly using my 357xp, with a 4" sander to dress up the timber afterwards, and a drill for the dowelled joints.
The timber was an old Jarrah (eucalyptus marginata) sleeper that had been sitting in my garden for at least 50 years. The floorboards are the same timber.

I cut the sleeper into 4 sections using the 357. I then drilled and dowelled them to stack them to make the sides. The I used the 357 to cut the notches for the horizontals (made from some other Jarrah I had). Then I used the saw to remove any rotten timber (the sleeper had been half buried in the ground for most of its life) - which created quite an interesting shape I think...
The end result was sanded using the 4", then given some putty, then hand sanded, then given a few coats of estapol and a couple of sheets of glass.
EDIT - the gas heater was converted back to a REAL fireplace shortly after the pics were taken
