I am looking at purchasing another saw. Something around 60 or 70 cc stihl. What should I get a 361 362 or 441. Will be running a 20 full chisel with needing the ability to go to a 25 or so with skip chain. Any input. Thanks

Ms 460 best darn saw I have. Rips with a 20" bar and will handle a 28" Love the 362 also but does not come close to the 460

Its a self adjusting carburator there isn't H and L adjustment screws it adjusts to elevation,or if your air filter is plugged, fuel quality etc....

Beer gut is the 441 any different than the 044/440

OPINION yes 044's are put together more solid. There are Tech differences as well. I had a chance to use a 441 lately thought it had plenty of power, but I guess it feels different. I would choose an older Stihl block saw. Can't go wrong with a 460, more power and won't notice the weight. Once you decide to spend 800$ whats another 100$.

Should mention I will probably buy one (441). But already have a 044 and 460. Love that group size, don't listen to me get one of each.:hmm3grin2orange:

There is a used 441 on here for 550 with just a couple minor flaws and there is a near new 440 close to me for 700 with near new 20 inch bar and new chain tools and manual. and then there is a used 460 with used b&c for 725. Its just a something I'm not sure of just yet

The 362 is not even close to ideal with a 25 bar. It works if you let the saw do the work. You can't push it. Kind of like drag racing with a bunch of chubby chicks in your VW bug. It works. But you should have gotten the turbo kit...

Get the 440/1/60. I would, if I had a do over. I love my 362 but with a 346, it would be a lot more practical owning a 70cc saw.

Without having in hand its tough to help, but the 441 for 550$ if the flaws are truly minor is a good price, and if the 460 and 440 are in good shape if you can get the price into the lower 600's should be good.

The 441 has a crack in the brake handle and a small hole in the fins on the recoil cover. The 440 is near new and the 460 is used and has wear.

Get the 440 down to 600$ if its near new, do comp. test, and should be good if I had to choose from what I hear. Be careful and check used saws over good. This saw will drag 25" bars and bigger all day. :msp_thumbup:

Derbyguy, what other saws do you have? If you have a 50cc saw, I would recommend the 460. I have not used one before, but a 50cc and a 75-80cc saw plan works good.
