I didn't really have anything to say there; was just trying to figure something out. On my laptop, i don't get the place to "write your reply here" so I tried the "reply" in the previous post and all I could do is what you see there. But I obviously can post from on my phone. I don't know about my desktop computer. Don't know what has happened with the laptop

I have milled plum before, worst warping wood I’ve come across and also the most beautiful. Band the pile with ratchet straps or a ton of weight, use lots of stickers. I lost a stump similar to yours because I just stickered and let dry. The wood has warped as much as 3” end to end. Do your best to care for it!

I’m making progress on this one. It’s at 13-15% water and I took all the bark off tonight. I’m thinking about using a alder for the legs. I’ve got a smaller alder down in my yard now from the snow and windCC7089A0-9AAD-476B-96B1-B972EC0505D3.jpeg73F1DC17-D850-486C-876A-D808872DD8E6.jpeg i was little worried about getting a staine on the wood from the metal bench. I had my hammer under it here and had books under it when working

Had a good amount of bug but they didn’t get far into the wood. The a 2x4 vs my 2” piece, planing on going back soon for more I wanna try making my chain into a ripping chain it’s a stihl cross cut chain 46614911-082E-4860-A680-93CE8AD97560.jpegB7F790E5-545C-4C34-ADE4-A0802606C901.jpeg 3418FD77-FE4E-4F2B-B98B-D4271ACCE86A.jpegE0094F47-A63E-4CCC-B1CC-0E5340ADD80A.jpeg

Ooohh put a guard over the tip end of the bar before it gets you or someone else or the dog.

You wearing chaps?

Using that wrench for a wedge is another bad idea. Plastic or wood wedges are safer.

Ya I need to make some wedges. Or buy the plastic ones if they work good, there cheap. There’s a lot of bug poop on the live edge but I think it looks cool. Yes I had my chaps!glueing the ends now and I brushed the live edge with stainless steel brush, can this cause a stainie?

Don't forget the guard for the end of the bar, this is a really dangerous thing both for you and anyone around. I have seen nasty chainsaw injuries. If you were working in an industrial setting or a building site the inspectors would shut you down and give you a nice fine.

If someone got nailed in the thigh by that uncovered end, they could bleed out before you could call 911.

Really doesn’t seem much different then not needing it for cross cutting. Just gota be carful. If I had a helper pushing I’ll put one on. I Thinking a torso guard would be nice lol. Maybe I’ll make one
