A friend of mine has a 395 that is an awesome saw but if he is running the big bar with the throttle wide open for awhile it seems to vapor lock and run out of gas . Crack the gas cap open for a second and hear the air go in and it runs great again . Anybody else run into this or have a solution ?

look at the back of the saw handle looking forward. It is on the right hand--(clutch side) of saw almost directly under and to the right of the carb, right behind the anti-vibe spring mount

yes you have to remove the carb to get to it

the funny part is if you are not wide open under full load making a big cut it doesn't happen. i guess i kind of figured that was th problem but didn't know if others had the same issue from an undersized venting set up. it doesn't sound like too tough of a job.
