I went to school with guy. Said it's got a new oil pump and clutch. No comp gauge but if you didn't pull like a man it will hurt. Saw a video of it running sounds great. Would 350 be a good price. Running a 24 on her.

I should have it in my hands in a hour.
Got it. Runs good but it's missing a muffler bolt lol the one problem is the throttle and trigger spring. No biggie I hope. It came with the 24 inch bar and the echo came with a 20. Both d009 mount. I want to go 28 on the 281 and 18 on the echo. Good idea right.?

281 is a great saw. They have good power and make good torque. I run a 28" bar with full comp chain on mine. Easy to work on and most parts are available. The 288 isnt much more over the 281.

The throttle lever I am guessing has a lug snapped like mine all the ones I have had. Does the fast idle work? They seem to be a pretty bad lever set up if you ask me. They all seem to break. Parts are easy to come by for these. they still sell the 288 new to rest of world countries with no EPA regs *so I think*

Yes the throttle lock works. I got it cleaned up Sunday and with look at it tonight. I went ahead and ordered the trigger and spring. Do the side panels come off the handle?

On my bench now. I had to clean it be for I take it apart. Pulled the muffler off just to see. I'm good there. Next pulling the handle/tank asst off. I probably save 2 lbs getting are crud off.

Two questions. Does the whole throttle linkage come of the grommet when you pull the handle assy and I got one anti vibe just spinning and can't get the screw out on clutch side
