034 oiler plate

Hey,

picked up an 034 AV the other day. The Oiler plate does not have a screw to fasten it to the saw. Is this normal on 034s. I don’t see a place for a screw to attach it either. I have a shop manual that depicts the screw. What am I missing here?
 
Also as mentioned above, no need to keep it fastened, the bar will do that for you.

True, but the screw will also keep sawdust and crud from getting behind the plate and causing oiling issues. If it were mine I would carefully drill and tap a hole for the holding screw.
 
Here is a bulletin..
This change didn't last long before they went back to the single screw. I have only seen (1) saw that had this side plate. The issue is that you basically have to destroy it just to remove it. No problem if you are a dealer and can just sell the customer a new one. Not so much for the rest of us.
