    I can't understand why the super split cost so much. Has less components then a hydraulic slitter. I like the super split great idea but to much money. my own opinion

    Every time I've seen a non-cat stove burning clean its was running full blast. Most stoves can burn at 76% if they are over fire. So yes non-cat stoves can meet epa regulations put choke them back and they cool down and start to smoke. If your going to heat 24/7 get a cat stove.

    How are the laws of physics relavint to burning a log. Burning a log is a chemical reaction. I guess the logs in your stove move around or something.

    I have a buck model 50 stove. The by-pass lever has been getting stuck closed. I pulled the door out and found some "rust or scale not real sure what to call it" But I cleaned the door of this rust with a bench grinder and wire wheel. Put it back in and it opens and closes real nice. But...

    If you burn two or three hot fires after a cold one will this cancel out any ill effects from the cold fire? At night I think my fire maybe to cold. I have an insert and have no way to check flue temps.
