    Wood splitter

Bet you have the WRONG table! There are 2 different "Work table" models, one fits thje 22 ton, the other fits the 27 ton, and they have completely different hole patterns. I have the 22 ton, and ordered the work table for it from Home Depot. When I got it, the holes did not line up at all...

    Ariens 22 ton splitter?

Got it. Bought the 22 ton at Home Depot with a competitor 25% off coupon, saved me over $300 big ones. Splitter seems very nice.

    log splitter

Currently, the Ariens comes with the "Cradle" on both sides, but not the extra "Work Table". AT least the 22 ton unit anyway.

    Ariens 22 ton splitter?

Anyone have the Ariens 22 ton splitter available at Home Depot for 1199? It looks to be a decent unit, 12 second cycle time isn't bad. What I like about it and why I want it, is because it seems to be the smallest footprint 20-25 ton splitter. It's only 38" wide, where all of the others are...

How do you like having the extra table attached? Worth it, come in handy? Get in the way?

    Done with hydraulics!

Huh?? First, there is NOTHING magical about Honda engines. I don't know how they ever got their rediculous following, but I've had the same exact problems with Honda engines as any other. If any small engine brand name has given me less grief than any other, it would be Yamaha, they have...

    Done with hydraulics!

I am no expert, by any stretch! BUT, FWIW a few points I'll throw in the bag: 1. Everyone talks about cycle times and the speed of the SS. Well, if you REALLY look and study your time spent splitting logs, you will find that 80% of the time spent is spent FETCHING logs, or getting rid of...

Introducing the new Log Splitter Line from DHT (Dirty Hand Tools)

The 5 ton electric is Hydrolic, just uses an electric motor to run pump instead of a gas motor. ;) But I know what your saying/really mean....

Introducing the new Log Splitter Line from DHT (Dirty Hand Tools)

Question Ok, I'm going to pick one of these up from Logsplitterdirect.... So how should one /or what should one use to make the decision on which unit to get, the 22 or the 27 besides the extra $200? The 22 ton is a bit faster (faster cycle time), and is $200 cheaper. The 27 ton is a...

Introducing the new Log Splitter Line from DHT (Dirty Hand Tools)

suggestions to DHT (or any log splitter builder) DHT, I am looking to purchase a splitter for my personal use as I now burn wood to heat my house for the most part. I've been looking for an inexpensive unit (was trying to spend $1k) but I'd rather get a bit of quality then save a few bucks...
