Brad can you describe the muffler mod ? Is it just drilling some holes, removing spark arrester, how simple is it ? I thought it made sense to go .325, pull a smaller chip, maybe wake up the potential in the saw without spending much ? :confused:

Has anybody set up an MS390 with an 8 pin .325 ? I see no reason why you couldn't, since Stihl sets up 290's that way if thats what you want. I wonder what difference it would make and if it would hurt the saw ?

Thanks for the info ! So a "small hub " is prior to serial # 33917066, and a "large hub" is after ? My saw has the poly flywheel.

Were all Stihl 066 Magnum crankshafts the large hub version? I need to buy a good used one but I want to be sure. :confused:
