    Outdoor woodstove guys...

I heat with a Shaver165.(yeah, I know). I have done several mods to it. Most of the home is heated by forced air except the 24x30 addition, it is heated via self installed radiant floor heating. I run the Shaver water temp at 150*. House is warm and toasty and I burn less wood...

Help needed on refitting an old boiler, specifically I need an automatic damper.

This is what I got on my Shaver. It works awesome. Maybe you can do something like this? http://www.arboristsite.com/firewood-heating-wood-burning-equipment/110817.htm

    Another Underground Insulated PEX thread

I believe many problems arise when people use drain tile to contain their pex. I believe this drain tile plastic to not hold up well underground.

    Another Underground Insulated PEX thread

I did this with mine. 2, 1 inch and 2, 3/4 inch wrapped in Solar Guard (1/4 inch foil faced insulation) About 4-5 layers of wrap. I ran everything through a 6 inch schedule 80 pipe. Anyway, I think it was called schedule 80. It was thinner walled than schedule 40 and had belled ends that I...

    SharkBite installation?

Sounds like you have that pex with aluminum in it. I am unsure if the Shark bites were made to use on this type of pex. They do work on regular pex though.

P.p.e. Or not for fire wood

I was bucking some logs a couple years ago wearing no PPE. I was in the pile of logs cutting away using the MS310 with 20" bar. I was waded into the pile of wood and in a situation where it was hard to move my feet, so I just switched to cutting left handed to get a few more cuts on the log...

Time to break out the good stuff...

I put a carport beside the OWB and stacked all the wood under it. It is pretty well mixed. The snow is finally starting to melt and wouldn't you know it, I just got dug into the osage orange. I'll just set it aside for when the weather gets cold again and try to get rid of more pine.

    cold bathroom

Yes the set up for the radiant floor was a closed loop. I was reading about it being a good idea to have a pressure tank in a closed loop for expansion. Not sure if I really needed it or not. Put one in the set up anyway.
