    i had a poulan 2750 get a piece of my left knee and i got a chunk out of my knee cap and 30 stitches. my leg was in a imobilizer for 2 months. not fun. be careful guys. one wrong move can make a mess of you in a hurry.

    McCulloch chainsaw

    i ahve one of those little buggers. neat little saw. i think they are about 4 hp gear drive, and had different attachments that you could bolt on to the front in place of the gear drive case. i believe you could get a wood drill atachment, winch, and earth drill. have fun wih it.

    i made what i call a chain vice. it consistes of two pieces of angle iron welded together so that the ends that stice up are on opposite sides. and then i took a piece of flat stock and lined it up wiht the top of one of the angle iron ends that was sticking up and i drilled and tapped 3 holes...

    Read this about sharpening

    man that was scary one guy was tellign you to use a carbide rotary burr in a die grinder to sharpen you chain. you might get better results with an angle grinder. the only real useful tip was using a drill bit as a gugue.

    man i gotta get one of you guys to teach my grandfather how to cut a notch in a tree. i have ben trying for years but his idea of a felling cut is sawing the tree at a 45 degree angle right through the whole thing. no notch or back cut. he says it takes too much time and is a waste of gas...

    i have cut enough cord of wood with a mac 250 to tell you that you will want to find a way to isolate the vibrations in the handels. you will get the numb hand syndrome in about 5 minutes

    whell that saw runs a tillitson hl carb which is a standard carb that was used in just about every saw for about 30 years. you can get the carb kits ant any small engine shop just get the number off the front flange of the carb where it bolts on to the intake neck it should be something like...

    saw cleanup

    if you can get it there is this degreeser/cleaner called big orange. it is sold by zep manufacturing. it is an amazing cleaner spray it on let it sit for 3-4 minutes and hose it off and it leaves the paint btu all of the greese and everything else just melts away.

    Frozen Wood Considerations

    yeah you gotta run a lighter bar oil like 10w or throw a little diesel or keroseen in the mix. i usuauly grind the top plate to 25 degrees cause you will get longer life out of the edge in that hard stuff
