Where did you get the log holders? plans? better pictures.

I've read that you can convert the MS362 over to the newer style MS362CM air filter. Does anybody know what the part numbers are or have access to the IPL for the MS362CM. Thanks

UPDATE I went to a different dealer and picked up a new hose and the leak is fixed. The new new hose was fatter where it fits through the tank compared to the new old hose that I had installed before. According to the dealers they both gave me the same hose but there was a definite difference...

I "think" I have it in right. The hose has a flange with a flat side, that is on the outside of the fuel tank. With the flat side facing the tab on the fuel tank. The numbers on the old and new hose are the same but I'm starting to think that I've got the wrong hose.

When I rev up the saw the gas sprays out from around the hose. When the saw is off and I lay the saw on its side to refuel the gas seeps out.

I lubed up the flange on the hose with oil and used a forceps to pull it in from inside the tank.

Will the case or other parts from a MS 270 interchange with the MS 280?

According to the pictures in my catalog the MS 270 and MS 280 also had white handles.

I just bought this Stihl that was advertised as a MS 260 but I think it's really an MS 280. The serial number is 267549223 and all of the part numbers on it start with 1133. I cleaned off the handle and it is labeled as a MS 280. So is it a 260 or a 280? As you can see it needs parts...

Thanks for the info. Were there two generations of MS 460? None of the part numbers on the saw match my parts catalog. I will "assume" that I have a first generation saw and a second generation parts catalog. Where can I find a first generation parts catalog? Thanks again

I purchased a saw that was labeled as a MS 460 however I have my doubts. The cover says MS 460 but the sticker on the handle is damaged and I can read MS ?40. The serial number is 163813082. Is it a 460 or 440? Thanks
