My 2011 562 as been flawless & very impresive! I've also had a 550 for a year and a half, very impressed with it also.

You already have the best top end you can get.

Yep. I've had to replace a couple clutch springs over the years. Clutch drum & all else was fine.

There have been around a half dozen Super Split copies in the last decade & they all have had problems. Not a single one has come close to the quality of the SS.

The Super Split is worth twice the money of any of the copy cats! I've been splitting around 15 cords a year for 10 years with a basic J model SS & absolutely love it!

With a 261 there is no point in having a 251 at all.

I bought my wife a Dewalt elec saw. She loves it.

I have 7 or 8 between 45 - 60cc. I don't see a problem.

I've never had a oil or gas cap come lose. Forgot to put the oil cap on once or twice though.

I agrre. There's no way in hell I'd pay 12k for a splitter! I'm heating two houses & a large shop with a $2500 Super Spit.:cool:

I've bought them on ebay. The 190 & 191 also work. If you can't find a Walbro, the Zama EL42 is almost as good.

I cut & split around the same amount of wood, mostly Oak. Did it by hand for 25 years. Bought a Super Split 10 years ago & Love It! I will never own a different splitter.

Damn good saw! & it's not all beat up.
