Thought i would be a little constuctive today.
I have had this Partner R440 for a couple years
now and it needed a crank and piston. I found the
parts awhile ago. So today was a good day to get it done.
Installed a good used crank, New piston all gaskets and crank seals.
First pic is it all tore down and parts all clean up.

Hope you like Lee

Here the crank is installed in the clutch side case.

I installed 6 line up studs to make the cases go together easier.

Cases are all together.

Motor all together just need to do the fuel system.

Done and running perfect. Has great power and should get better
with more time on it. Did about a dozen cuts in 12 inch oak.

Nice build, I like how you kept the original paint.

Great post!

I have my eye on a Partner which I think is around 65cc. How was it to find parts for yours?

Thanks

Dan

It took a bit to find the parts.
I found a nos piston in Germany and since have found another in the USA. The crank was from Cheapchainsawparts on ebay. gaskets an seals in Califonia.

That looks real nice. I have been looking for a 70cc + saw for a project. I wouldn't mind finding one like that. Great job. I love seeing the rebuild pics, helps a newbie like me out alot.

Hi Lee, do you happen to have the IPL for that saw?

Are the gaskets and fuel lines still availible for it?

mine was running great but now it wont run right and is leaking fuel somewhere..

thanks.

Nice thorough job there Lee. Is this the forrunner of the p100?

Partner made the R40, R440 and then the P100
all 100cc saws. Not sure on all the differences
but i believe there may have been some piston
and cylinder differences.

Thanks for all the comments.

Lee
