auxilary oiler

    for milling with 28 inch ,is better to drill the bar and lube directly in the chain channel or just out on the chain

    Dripping on the bar just after the chain has gone around is fine.

    Depending on the powerhead, a 28" bar should be oiled fine if you crank up the saws oiler.
    Which saw are you running ?

    price of bars and chain ,so am just want to last longuer

    An authentic ms660 would oil a 28 plenty with HO oiler.... I don't know anything about clones... maybe someone else has an experience to share.
    I imagine you could put a High Output oil pump into that saw if it did not already have one.

    Milled with an Ms661 for a time and it oiled a 36" plentifully no problem.

    I would go for the drip method.
