Right now I have a Stihl farm boss ms271. I like it just fine, but the time has come for a bigger saw as well which I want to perform two functions..... felling and bucking and occasional milling. I'm going to get one of the Granberg kits that calls for a 70 cc saw and have been looking at all the 70 cc size saws out there. The leader seems to be the 372xp but I know the engine is now the xtorq and most the great things are said about the original. I'm a little sketchy on all the new autotune so I'm hoping to be able to adjust my own carb... I've heard echo has a new saw coming out, and I've also been looking at the makita 7300.... I guess I want to know the saw is known for a being a good oiler because of the milling. Could the pros out there take these thoughts and give some good advice to what saw would fit the bill for me... thx in advance....

Here's my $.02, for what it's worth.... I build a ton of those aftermarket saws, and one that many people have had me build for this exact purpose is the 372xp... I'm not trying to push you into an aftermarket saw, but nobody has responded with any input so here is mine.. I built one for a guy in Michigan, he immediately called me up and asked me if I would be able to tune his OEM Husqvarna 372XT for him. He said the aftermarket one I built ran better than the OEM one he already had. He then sent his OEM one to me and I happily did! I'm just making the offer to you.. if you are interested I can build you one.

The Dolmar’s have been the Honda in the chainsaw world for me!
Not to start the Ford / Chevy argument... cause they’re all good more so in the pro line to be in competition with each other...
It’s the power to weight ratio that’s the bottom line that’ll keep your piece count, scale, cords ... in the black
Myself I’d be looking at the 7900 series in this brand.
