My climber buddy is getting ready to retire and move. He is a talented artist. He used to hand tie fishing fly’s on contract to cabelas. He has a shed full of carvings he has to get rid of, bears, fish, birds. Most are anatomically correct, birds with feathers, fish with scales. He called and asked if I wanted the diving bird from his living room. This is the first kind of abstract carving I’ve seen him do. I really like it so I said “yes”.
