Help! Dying tree

My patio was built around this tree several years ago. Over the past year the bark has begun to split. It has progressively gotten worse. I am assuming that it is dying...

I am wondering if it is being cut off by the patio?

Can it be revived at this point?

Any insight would be much appreciated!

i would say that based on the pictures posted in my opinion that tree is either dead or nearly dead. it looks like the primary leader/trunk wood is already dried out and splitting. that's just my opinion based on the picture posted, i would contact a qualified arborist in your area to inspect it in person for a definitive answer. but if it was my tree i would be looking at removal options.

It could be being girdled by the deck they might have damaged it when they were putting in the deck

Looks like its on it's way out
Any leaves or signs of life left?
