281XP i recently finished, has killer compression and runs strong.
Hi guys, I just got a 272xp. I'm interested in getting a full wrap for it. I thought I read somewhere that the full wraps fit the plastic brake handle saws w/out any cutting/grinding. So since I can't hold/test fit the wrap handle bar on my saw, am I safe buying any 272 full wrap handle bar I can find? Thanks for any help
Heres a few pics of the saw in my previous post before I restored it.
It was in a bad state, seized and missing parts.
Hey guys, I was wondering if I should use bar plates on my 272? I can't find any posts where owners use them. Lots of them on ebay which is why I would think they have a purpose. I assume they protect the case/clutch cover? Thanks for any help
3 years ago I found this 3120 for a friend who was wanting one to trim large logs before they were milled, hes now decided to buy a new model and offered this to me for a good price, couldn't resist.
Has had its muffler nodded and runs strong.
Nice find, congrats
Need to rebuild the carb in my 266xp, which is in Vermont. Plan to be up there next month. What carbs are used(if more than one) so I can order the kit(s) and have them sent there. Forgot what’s in the saw.
I had a similar problem with an echo and found that the meter lever was set too low so it wouldn't start without a prime. Re-set the needle and vroom vroom!
tilly rk23 kit.
hopefully someone can second that as i dont have it anymore to double check.
Hey guys new to the husky world any way ill cut to the chase got a little 1998 350 runs great I have pulled the jug to delete the base gasket n do the hose clamp upgrade also done a poulan 4000 style muffler mod too any way started reading alot about porting and I cant find anything about porting the open port cylinder
Thanks. So its a Tillotson carb. Thats' the problem when the saw is 1500 miles away.
Now I fear I've set the lever too high as it is pig rich on almost any setting. Damn this carb is a pita to install.
Im wondering if anyone has used a Huztl Husky 235 or 240 topend to repair a Poulan stratos. Seems a nobrain as these are about $10.00 each at the moment. I've used Huztl top ends on a 61 and a Stihl 024 with good results.
Trying to find some measurements of a husqvarna 390 full wrap handle, looking for the height and width of it outside to outside. A big thank you for any help. Also a 395 if you have it
No idea about a Poulan, but I have used a Huztl 240 top end without any issues.
finally managed after 10 months... (Yes 10 months of a dry spell of firewood harvesting due to moving house job and location in the country) to get to use my brand spanker 365XT for a good couple of hours. I was mildly worried with its side by side weight to the oe 365’s that it was going to be heavy whilst using it, but I cannot notice a thing. At all.
It’s great, more torques than the original 365 or 2165’s of which I’ve had multiples.. now when I am bored of this and want to give it a 372 make over is it literally just transfer cap grinding and retune? Or is it more and what is this talk that people say that they still aren’t quite a 372 once you do this?? Is this true.
Cheers guys for the advice to come
Just got a new Husqvarna Combi can and now I'm wanting the new flippy caps for the 346, does anyone know if the new 550XP will fit, and does any of the other new models have the flippy caps? Thanks.
Couple small sisters. About 10 years apart in the series.
Took the ported 50 out for some action. Man does it cut good with the 18" .325 chain.
Seems to have a hard time hot starting, have to use the choke every time, 1 pull on choke to pop, choke off 1 pull to run.
Anyone have time to measure a full wrap handle for me
