Buddy found this in a barn on a farm he recently bought. It pulled 120 psi compression I assume it was seated tight, was kinda a bear to put on thank goodness the plug was already loose. The fuel tank looked pristine inside the filter looked clean and the hose even felt fresh. Only bad thing about it I can see is the muffler is held on with wire, which I'm assuming was how a lot of these saws were ran. Anyway what do you guys think this thing is worth, is it even worth messing with to get it running.

Cool old saw.

Pm sent.
To me the only thing cooler than the super 754 is the 754g.sure they're slow but the sound is right up there with mcculloch.

I asked because the Remington Super 990 is kind of a Holy Grail (well, for those of us who don't have one :().
damn those must be up there with the rotaries and mcculloch bp1 etc.
sure would like to have this 754.i got a NOS tilley for it and a sorry ass neighbor who just loves to wake up to slow, super loud chainsaws at 5am in the morning.:D hint hint ;)

Actually those 754 are quite common along with the Bantam. OTOH rarely see 660, 770 or Super 75.

Or a Wards badged 660.
