Convincing simple facts to the spanker is akin to teaching a man with no arms & legs to do a cartwheel in a carpark. Please stop feeding him or try to help him. Play with the fool but don't be played, it excites him too much.

Man I thought this thread had died already guess not. Here's what you need to run a 11pin sprocket. IMG_20180216_095854.jpg

That guy back there is a front runner. The slower saws can do twice the work and may go all day without filing. The 660 does half the work and needs filing every hour? Really?
If he and Spanky ain't one of the same then I would be pissed if I were you Spanky....Coming in here talking such inconceivable nonsense. I mean that's your job here.

Some people actually have learned by doing and listening vs. yelling about their strobomatic (which you grossly over-paid for at 1500) and just being dead set that they are the only ones that can be right. A little shutting up and thinking beyond your own nose could help you.

I need to stroboscope the 10 pin that's on it currently since the rpms manage to stay higher.

The slower saws cut twice as fast with bigger teeth, but only use half the gas while doing twice as much work and run all day without needing fuel.

The 660s cut half as fast, do half as much work, while gobbling gas by the gallon, and need to be sharpened twice for every fillup.

In other words, the more wood a saw cuts per hour, the less fuel it uses and the less often it needs to be sharpened. And versa-visa.

    I leave anything out?

I'm not finished with it yet and mine will run on cheap pump gas with 10-1 compression with iron head but that's OK it's all about torque.

No need for all the big sprockets/extra mass to keep it spinning o_O, 7 or 8 does just fine.
