Hello all this is a question for anyone to answer. If you are running a firewood biz and you are running out of space in your yard were would you look to if you wanted to expand...bight the bullet and buy some land if you can find any...try and lease some from someone or a farm...or just deal with the hand you have bene delt???

So far from your posts you seem to be trying to approach your endeavor with some business sense. Buying land, especially in you region of the state is probably prohibitive unless you are going to get into hundreds of cords.

A farmer might be the way to go. They tend to have big patches of fallow land that you could probably lease for cheap and lease more if your operation expands. Some of those guys are into bartering, so you might get away with less cash and more firewood for your lease.

BTW, what are you paying for your logs, if you don't mind me asking? What do you expect to be able to get for cut split and delivered cords?
