I installed a new Jotul F 500...cannot remember the official other name...last year.
I did not install a damper in the flue for I was informed it was not needed by the dealer. Now, I am thinking about this now soooo, is a damper needed when using this stove? The last stove I had was steel and I had a flue damper on it.
The Jotul does seem to operate alright, but the burn times are not as advertised and I was wondering what you all think on this.
I previously had a 3CB installed and the installers again said "no damper needed."
Am I old school or not? thanks
