Selling a ported 288xp top end on a clean 181 chassis.

Cylinder came from the left coast and I was told it was ported by Ace Morgan. Finger ports and bridge ports. Ace Morgan signature “rafter port”.

New Meteor Piston/rings. I’ve also got the original OEM 288 piston and rings.

Full wrap. Pictured is a 281 recoil. I’ve got the 181 recoil and it’s as nice as the rest of the saw, just has a short rope.

My compression gauge showed 150/160 but this sucker feels like 180. Less than 2 tanks on the meteor.

I’ve also got a NOS low top setup I can put on it. I’ll leave that up to the buyer.

$525 plus shipping to lower 48. PP F&F or add 3%

Yessir. Everything except the meteor piston. I’ve got a NOS 288 ring you could put on the OEM piston if you just wanted to run the OEM piston.

that is a great looking saw.how sure are you that Ace Morgan of coos bay oregon did the porting?was the 181 chassis in real good shape?
I can’t say with 100 percent certainty Ace Morgan ported the saw. I was told by a member here from Northern California that used to race saws. This cylinder came from that same member. He said it was an Ace Morgan ported cylinder when he sent it to me.

I was told by another member (that I trust very much) who owns several Ace Morgan saws that it certainly looked like the work Ace had done in his saws.
