Rappel ring

Those rings are intended to be used in a rappelling station( as in anchor) and not meant to be used as a device nor are they to have the rope run over them like a pulley or a friction saver. :)

I'm not fimiliar with rappel stations but I understand what your saying. I'm using my figure 8 as a rappel ring (pull bight of rope through big hole, run biner through rope and attach to saddle). I like this much better than using the fig 8 how it was intended because it does not induce twist in the rope, But the large hole is too big at 2" (id) and the small hole is to small at 1" (id).
