Hoping someone can clear something up about putting a crosshatch or lightly honing a new Stihl oem cylinder. The saw is an ms200t and am going to install a new top end just haven't rebuilt with brand new parts and am unsure about honing a new jug. Can't find any definitive answers online but i'm confident some one can shed some light on this. Thanks in advance.

No don't touch a brand new jug ! Hone only if a used one is damaged and a cleanup is needed!
