What year did the 026 become the MS260?

Anybody know. I'm looking at purchasing a used 026, but the date of purchase claimed by the original owner doesn't sound right. I'm thinking this name change happened at least 5 years ago. Right?

I believe that the "0" series became the MSXXX in 2002.

The last one to change here was the 088, believe it was 2003/2004.
