cold, is all relative.. cold is cold when its 65 degrees and 70% humidity.. it really seems to be relative to moisture like in wood to being dry.... wind, cloud cover and so on...

That's still a requirement here in Washington State. Have to tag each load. Fortunately the tags are cheap!

Nice load there, cat-face. I like your helper. He looks like the dog I had when I was a boy. :)

Thanks :)
My helper sure loves to get out in the forest.
She found a old stinky deer head last time and wanted to bring it with her, almost broke her heart when I would not let her, man that thing stunk...
I paid $20.00 for my 4 cord permit.

Thanks :)

you got a heck of a good deal! back when ?? it was 20.00 for a single cord of wood permit and they watched you!! never knew when or where they were going to be or show up with their tape measure and calc... located in sw wash.state in the early 80,s there was a company named "wood finders" that issued permits and patroled the forest to stop midnite theives... most of the permits where issued on state land leased to the big man in federal way!! lol

Thanks :)

That's the same price I pay here in Washington state (on the Okanogan National Forest). $5 per cord with a 4-cord minimum. I've never had anyone check my load, but I tag them anyway.

Dogs sure like rotten flesh. The smellier the better.

Holy cow you must cut some monster trees if your limbing saw is a 272XP. :msp_thumbup:

Nice looking load of wood you got there.

I used to cut wood in a cow pasture, and the dog I had at the time would eat half the pies and roll around in the rest....:msp_thumbdn::laugh:

I just hate it when the cow #### gets under the collar and you just go grab it YUCK!!
My helpes loves the fresh stuff, the stinkier the better :)

Another load

Went out last weekend and got another load before the Forest gets closed.

Here we are, I am just dropping my grandson off at his mama's house.
The wood was kindof rough looking, but this late in the season, it is hard to get perfect wood and it all burns.

I'd put that wood in my stove. That load would be stacked right next to it and I'd be  Good Job!!
