LOL, actually Mark the thing would start but not rev up at all. It would sputter and carry on. I told the guy get rid of his can of fuel and mix up a new can and all will be fine. I didn't charge him a penny, I figured it was worth it to do it for free just to show on here how some things happen out in the real world.
Being that you looked at his Chain Saw, and didn't charge him anything, You have a Repeat Customer, that might want some work done someday, or buy something from you in the Future. One Good Deed Deserves Another. Good Job. Bruce.

It wont idle, smokes too he says

Customer with a MS200T comes in saying the saw won't idle and smokes at full throttle. I'm like okkkkkkkkkkkk. Pop the filter cover and yikes. I say how old is this saw, 5 years he says. I ask have you ever changed the air filter on it, nope I always clean it. I say welp ya cleaning it days are over, its compacted now. Pop on a new air filter, saw instantly runs perfecto. Saw belongs to a professional too tight to buy a air filter once every 5 years.

yep.. I have a bunch of those "climbing pros"... You'd think I was robbing them at gunpoint when I suggest they carry a spare $14 filter and swap it out now and then...

No kidding. Its ok to go make 500.00 or more a day with the saw but no way to a 14.00 filter. I see it all the time too Lake, those guys squeak when they walk. I will have to say I got a few that do take care of their equipment pretty good but most of em I call squeakies,LOL

Hmmmmmmmmm..............

Did all these customers buy their equipment from you? Maybe they aren't getting the "proper" use speech. Bad dealer maybe? Probably get a better speech from the local Lowe's/TSC on maintenance. :)

Had a cute little blonde bring in a Husky 350 yesterday. Chain was hanging off of it. She goes its dull and needs a sharpening and the chain put back on. I say no problem. Would you believe I put her ahead of the Stihl saws and trimmers and got her saw done right away. I don't know if its because I love them Huskies or them little blondes,LOLOL
