+1

If you want to donate, then donate...no need to advertise it.

Litefoot, I'm really sorry to hear about your brother. My aunt in Saskatchewan had a pretty bad stroke 5 years ago...2 years ago she came to SC for a visit with my mom and her other sister after touring Charleston and Savannah.

This might be stating the obvious, but I think I don't think any potential winner would object in the least to paying the shipping costs.

"dirty"? eh

Anyone going to "donate" $5??

Sorry to "dirty".... Well ..... Anyone want to donate for this cause?

I just did. Donated $5

PayPal sucks you have to use a bank to not get charged a fee but my bank is stupid and charges me when i used paypal with it. Its a dumb mess.

As far as dirty, a health problem like this is crippling. My suggestion for
not worrying much about the "raffle", and everyone donate $5 right now
still stands, as this guy's family needs help now, not in a few weeks.

Tonight is a busy night on AS, and if we all chip in a quick $5 each, can
help this guy out as I am sure his bills are choking him now.

I play around here a lot, but this is a worthy cause, and I am asking the
gang here to step up and do the $5 now, worry about the raffle later.

If you have a problem with that, fine.....

No matter who you all agree with, go ahead and do the $5.........

Everyone here can do that easily, about the cost of a lunch.....

No if i win it ill Rafael it off again and give his brother those proceeds to. I already have a 660.
Or let the OP keep is saw since hes a great person.

Good thought Matt, just trying to think of other fund raising ideas.
I thought the straight out donation appeal would do some good.

Thanks, that was my aim.

My paypal went through. Went to my account overview, clicked on send money, went from there.

Do it gang....

Sorry I missed the starting of this thread. I had everything already to post and didn't think he was posting until later this evening. Sorry to keep you guys waiting.

This saw was in good condition when I got it. It just needed some cleaning and TLC. I completely disassembled the entire saw, even splitting the cases and removing the crank and bearings. The crank bearings are tight and smooth with no play at all. The P&C are in perfect condition having never seen a score or any damage at all. I reassembled the saw using Caber rings to make the engine fresh. All seals and gaskets are OEM Stihl. I installed a new rim sprocket and spark plug, cleaned the carb , and cut off the limiter cap tabs. I did not port this saw, but I did polish up the exhaust port a little while cleaning out the carbon. I decarboned the combustion chamber and piston crown. I also opened up the baffle in the muffler and enlarged the factory exhaust exit. The spark arrestor is still intact for those of you needing one. The saw is tuned to 14K in the video and still 4-stroking. It looks to be a strong runner. For all intents an purposes, this is a new saw. It starts and runs great. Everything functions as it should.

The saw is already drained of fuel and oil, and will be shipped directly from my place one a winner is selected.
