Anyone wanting to post picts of where they are cutting, firewood, logging or clearing for road construction or what have you. Include saws you are using to keep it on topic. Picts of what I have been doing for the weekend +today.

Jerry- looks like a great way to spend the day. I see you're running your 044s w/sealed bearings...

Today was rather mild compared to last week and the weekend so it was a nice day, got a little above freezing, like +1-2 today. One of the saws there has the sealed bearings, the other saw with the sealed bearings is being used by a friend and co worker, he is logging several acres of his land, it has all old growth hardwood and some real nice spruce logs on it. He is the only fellow I would lend one of my good saws to, a very skilled woodsman that respects good working saws.

It has been a long week since I got to dive a saw into some fresh wood!
Been busy cutting up mangled-tangled utility poles and cross arms with a 021!
The guys tease me and now call me a cookie cutter!(I told them what a cookie was!) They know which poles I have subbed with the amount of saw dust around the pole!!!!!

So to see pics of you just working your saws gets me itching to go buck some firewood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to see the full size pics!

LOL!!

I'll drag the Camera with me tomorrow if it's not too windy, and get some snow storm cuttin' pics.

Love that old Jimmy. Those things just wont die unless you really work at it!
Detroit started downhill when they started to Yuppify trucks. Serves 'em right.

Nice work!! I like your truck had one just like it! I was cutting today too, I think you saw my thread!

Yes I seen your thread as I was uploading my picts of the weekend and Mondays haul. There is a little contrast from coast to coast, like summer out your way, it`s winter here at -12C.

This is the best time of year to work the woods around here, the ground is frozen hard so no getting stuck or cutting up the forest floor, no flies and the hardwood has the least amount of sugar and moisture in it. No cookie cutting happening when out getting free firewood, get er done,

I will be looking for those picts, that old truck and I go back a long ways, bought er new in 78, that was when they made real no nonsense work trucks. It was a special built unit, we could order up what we wanted in a truck back then and they would build it to spec. GMC started downhill in 1980 with the trucks, yes they went Yuppified in the last 10 years, unless they bring back a real work truck I won`t own another one.

Sorry fellows, no pictures, just a video, testing the Echo CS-341 on a cypress blown by the wind.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNV2cj4_x-Y

That Echo looks like a hardwoorking little saw, have not run one myself, that wood looks like it is a tough test for that saw, got to watch for tension in the bent tree branches. Thanks for posting the vid.

Jerry, Nice haul on the wood. Its always nice when you can cut close to home. Nice truck, I had a 79 just like it. I ran it until the body rotted off the frame.

David, Looks like you are giving the Pioneers a good work out. Its nice to see the oldies still cutting.
