OMG !!!!! i cant believe it !!!!!
NOT possible !!
they ALL melt down !! havent you heard ??
wait a minit,,i know whats up,,you actually used the "turn water into wine " and other miracle worker almost red saw from sweden and got confused ??
that HAS to be it,,colors are similiar,,what you have to do is let it sit out in the sun for a day and see if it changes color then you will know what one you used..
HAH ! you almost had me there :)
trying to puill a fast one on us eh ??

Ran my 5100 today, clearing nature preserve trails of blowdowns. Ran it most of the morning and used up a fair bit of gas. It didn't melt down, suck air, or explode. Imagine that.

But for every one good one there is 120 burnt out ones

I just can't seem to find evidence of this...

I've run my 5105 deliberately hard, bar buried WOT without letting it rest until the tank was almost gone. Ran 5 tanks like this back to back. Pulled the muffler and the piston looks like new, the cylinder through the plug hole checked with a bore light looks perfect as well.
RPMs set at 14,000, which I feel in bigger wood, long cuts makes more torque and power than set at max. Plug is brown/black, which I like. No carbon on piston top.
I really like this saw. And it is surprisingly comfortable and sounds like a much larger saw.
Mix is Ultra and Klotz Super Techniplate.

YOU are the guy that got the other good one!!!

I was beginning to wonder if I had the only one 'til now!
I ran the dogp!$$ out of mine TRYING to blow it up and nary a stutter.
If it was going to fail I sure wanted to make it do so while still under warranty.
I ran a lot of 50cc class saws before and since buying my 5100 and I still like it the best by far.

Hmmmm something sounds fishy, I can't believe it didn't blow. Another thing I wonder about is the lack of pictures of all these scored 5100's. I have a cranked up one and has still manges to keep starting and running without a hic-up:cheers:

Hold on there Mike not so fast...Brandon and yourself are not the only two with good one's. I ran mine last weekend for 2 hours and she's still runnin strong as hard as that is to believe.

Maybe we need to start a 5100 survivors club!!!LOL

I'd sure like to find a box full of the burned up ones!
I think I can get P/C kits pretty reasonably.

I been buckin white and red oak logs with all 17"of bar buried in 90 deg heat with no melt downs so far but I'm looking for some real wood to knock on instead of this computer desk.
Mine still has 2 mo of warranty left and if its gonna blow I want it to do it now.
