Some of you may remember the work stand I posted about in this thread

I decided I wanted the stand to be more adjustable, so I added a "roll" axis to the stand. Now I can position the saw in whatever orientation is most convenient.

Thanks for all the nice comments! Honestly though, my stand is over the top. Made as a "G-job" while I was at work, there is a lot of time and effort in it. If I didn't have access to machine tools I would make one like Freehand's or Mark Heimans. It would be possible to make a production run of a simplified version, but sufficient demand would need to be there.

.

Nice job Tzed!. What keeps the roll axis in place? That's a set screw I assume? Not knocking it. Just want to know.

I'd be interested in one if you intend to "mass" produce a few. BTW, I like this color, no need to offer any additional color choices! :)

PM me if you come up with a price.

Mark's is the most "build friendly" I've seen.It can all be done with angle plate...

Yes, the set screw. All of the adjustments are held with the three visible setscrews. The bar mount is in the pivot tube with a .001" slip fit so it takes very little pressure to lock it in place.

I have adapted my Powerhead holder to do a totally different job, about a week ago I made up a couple of arms that hold my cylinders while I port them, gives me rigid support for the cylinder and access from all angles to get at the ports.
