Good point, slinging mud use to be fun. Personal attacks, hell I like those too, meant I could send one right back ASAP,LOLOL I guess I can't get into these build threads because they aren't teaching me squat. Done rebuilt so many saws over the years they bore me. Modding to me is a waste of money and alot of extra noise but thats me mind you, others that like it can have it, good for them. My biggest dislike about the modding biz is all the hoop la over it from those that do it making it seem almost like you can't saw wood unless you got a modded saw, pure BS, good advertising but BS just the same. Once again thats just me mind ya. Those that want the spilt second gain are welcome to it, won't see me trying to hold them back at all.

That's the same way i feel about modding saws! i have done a couple MM of my own, maybe they run better who knows? and in all reality who really cares if a saw takes .6 of a second longer to make a cut? besides cookie cutters! Later dudes...

You have drawn first blood with that remark, I find it a personal attack. I am wounded, hurt and all that other sissyfied stuff. I'm calling in back up, take this you low life, hehe

YouTube - Johnny Cash God's gonna cut you down (OFFICIAL ALTERNATE)

That pile of money that gal in black has, I gave it to her to whoop your azz, scared now aren't ya, ya best be,LOLOL

ha ha. nice.

do you play the guitar? or try? I just got myself one, and am taking it up now. Need something better to do with my time, then all these silly chainsaws and chainsaw threads. I remember you talking about a Martin or something?

Cool beans man. Yeah I got a Fender Strat last summer and then later on I had to get me a Martin. I can't play worth a hoot but its fun I tell ya. Toss a few notes together and wow, I made that sound, woowow. I've been studying Johnny Cash of late. Man talk about a man with a story, the guy is unreal, amazing. He plays a very very simple guitar using only his thumb and finger. He manages to get his point across very well.

You will love that guitar, what did you get??

I just bought a entry level Yamaha, something cheaper to start, when I get good, I'll likely get something better. My uncle has been playing 30 years, and says this one sounds real nice. Jonny Cash is a cool cat. I'm taking lessons right now, trying to remember a few chords, and try to change between them without thinking too much.

The Martin factory is just a few towns away from me. I had no idea the history behind it until recently. I'm certinly not musician, just a big fan of music in general. Nothing bets the country and rock-a-billy of Johnny Cash's era. Sun Records must have been an amazing place. Its ashame that the best of the newer artists are only able to be heard on sat. radio. Way to many Tim McGraws and not enough Hank III's, and Drive by Truckers.

Worry not, James Burton made his first record after learning guitar in less than two years. One of the best players there is now...

Yes. It can be done. My uncle's friend started when he was 50, now 58 and playing shows ect. Well, I'm only 33, so got some years to learn, as long as I stick with it, so far I like it allot, just can't wait to get better.

2 or 3 strings is all it takes to make sweet sounds. I dont know if you like blues, but Little Wing played by SRV and Jimi is or was for me a very easy song to play with and learn.

Yup blues is good stuff. One of the easiest to learn actually. I'm only just doing basic stuff right now.

I had messed around with the guitar for a while, it wasen't until i got a nice sounding amp that I started playing every day. I got a twin reverb reissue and it sounds really nice. I can't wait to mod it though!

Cool man. I got an acoustic guitar now, once I learn, then I'll get an electric as well.

I might as well jump in derailing this thread some more.:)

I'm 45 and just decided to try learning the guitar too (been mucking around for about 6 months now).....Never too late I guess, but as much as I suck, I'm coming along slowly and it feels good when you play something and can start to hear the songs....I'm striving to head in a blues direction.

The OCD in me makes it hard not to start with a bad case of GAD to go with the CAD.:hmm3grin2orange:

Right on!! That's cool. Keeps me motivated talking about it. I like the blues, sounds great! I can't really play too much yet, but only had the guitar 3 weeks now, can play a few chords and pick a few tunes, not too fast though.
