I got the Partner 540 cleaned up and going, pictures are in the thread I started yesterday.

Today I tore down my Echo CS-900EVL to give it some overdue TLC and then some.

It needed attention pretty bad. I never really done anything to this saw since I got it and the previous owner was running it.

When I pulled the muffler last week to paint it I found the piston was slightly scored so down it came. Pressure and Vac tested it before tearing it all down and found the PTO side seal was leaking like a screen door on a submarine.

Piston could be worse.

It cleaned up nice and easy. Check out the antivibe mounts beside the jug, they were a mess!

Mark, I know of a real nice saw that isn't on your bench, and probably wouldn't need to be.

:)

Chris

Come on now, I'm working on it. :bang:

I'm really surprise how well this Echo ran in the shape it was in. It pulled like a freight train. Everyone who ran it at Seans GTG was amazed with it as well. (at least they were nice and said so)

I think it sould be really strong when all put back together.

It pulls so strong that I think I might look into a .404 setup for it. It uses a Homelite bar mount though....

Mark your 900 is looking good so far. That's actually a pretty clean saw. When I got mine it had a scored p/c just like yours and ran well with good comp. The carb on mine was just set to lean plus it injested stuff it shouldn't have with a torn filter. I hope I can find everything I need to get my other one going again. Looks like I'm gonna need to buy a new handle assembly for about 200 bux

JRed 920 needing put back together, Echo 670 needing a coil, Stihl 026 needing bar studs, and a JRed 2171 for the build off.

Gotta get a bigger bench or turn some work out...

Yesterday two Mac 1000's.

Today Stihl 038, Echo 750, MS-290 (Toast), Husky 55 and a Dolmar 109. Husky and Dolmar both run, 038 and 290 need work, ain't looked at the 750 yet.

Nothing on my bench today...I went to the flea markets, which opened today, hoping they'd have some new old stuff for me to buy cheap but all I got was muddy shoes for my effort. Apparently it rained more than I thought last night and it kinda killed the market. Oh well, two weeks from now we'll do it again.

Sears H58D got a carb kit and points work but needs a carb base gasket.

Poulan Super 31 that keeps shocking the crap out of me, I believe the plug boot needs replaced.

The XL-12 finally laid down on me, needs fuel system work.

Just a bunch of junk.....

My poor echo trimmer. Pulled it down for some rings, only to find out that there is "NO" plating left on the exhaust side of the jug. Weird, as it was running pretty good. :dunno:

Been sorting the catch all crates for awhile because of a lack of storage room. Very close to finishing up the Husq crates.

Moving stuff around finding treasures.

C-52 leaves the bench to be replaced by a Zip or Wiz depending on what is in the Homelite chest of treasures.

Once they are done hoping to move onto some Macs.

I cleaned up the cylinder and put a piston in the 372 that is going to Brad for the GTG. I also got 2-346's back together, running, and ready for sale. I found where I stuck the parts for 2-262's I had apart for some TLC. One is now complete and running, and the other is ready except for needing a new bolt for the muffler and chasing the threads. Oh yeah, I did a bunch of yard work and got it looking nice for the spring.

not a dang thing for me, i can't find any project saws in this part of the country anymore:bang::bang::bang::bang:

How about four carbs off of a Honda CB 750 for rebuild?

I've got to do that soon. I've got a Yamaha Venture that has the four carbs all linked together to sit between the V4's cylinders :dizzy:.

But, this weekend, I had an easy job. Tore apart a carb, threw it in the ultrasonic cleaner, slapped a new kit in it and put it back on the saw.
